The tool
Extended DISC® International is a leader in Behavioral Assessment solutions.
For personal development and recruiting Extended DISC® is the tool that increases self-awareness and improves understanding of others. It is built on the model created by Willian Moulton Marston almost 100 years ago. Marston based his model on Carl Gustav Jung's theory of human behaviour.
The DISC model identifies 4 styles of behaviour with which an individual can identify himself: the style D (Dominance), style I (Influence), style S (Stable / Steadiness) and style C (Compliance / Correctness).
The behavioural analysis tools of Extended DISC® offer easy to interpret support, thanks to which it is possible to work on professional development, influencing the way people communicate, operate, develop their skills and interact, both professionally and personally.
With the psychometric tests of Extended DISC® we can better understand this uniqueness and identify the most effective ways to interact with others, thus improving our performance.
Extended DISC® recognizes more than 160 combinations of different behavioural styles and shows the distance between each of them.
The Extended DISC® system has been translated into 70 languages and is used by over a million people worldwide. The questionnaire can therefore be carried out in the individual's mother tongue, ensuring high reliability and the removal of any linguistic misunderstanding.
The styles of DISC Method
The DISC model identifies 4 styles of behaviour of individuals: D style, I style, S style and C style.
Style D (Dominance)is the most determined and tends to be quite competitive and result oriented.
Stile I (Influence) is outgoing, social, talkative and likes to be the centre of attention.
Style S (Stable / Steadiness) is firm, calm and relaxed. Although "S" types like interactions with other people, they are reserved and less lively than "I" style individuals.
Style C (Compliance / Correctness) is the most analytical. Types "C" are oriented to details, attentive to facts, information and evidence. They are comfortable working alone; they are the most reserved and have a methodical and rational approach.
Individual Assessment
For each individual, the Extended DISC® model allows to identify two behavioural styles:
- the conscious one (deriving from the professional role and adapted to the business organization in which the individual operates)
- the unconscious one (that is, the natural and spontaneous one, not adapted to external situations).
Understanding your positioning is the basis for planning development actions to be implemented to achieve your professional goals.
Team Assessment
The Extended DISC® team assessment is a tool that allows the company to group an unlimited number of people in a single report and allows to identify the strengths of the team and its members, areas of development and related needs of formation.
It shows the dynamics of the team and illustrates how team members are adapting their behaviors to the surrounding work environment.
By being able to evaluate many individuals at the same time and intertwine evaluations, this tool allows companies to perform complex analyzes quickly and cost-effectively.
